Resume

The purpose of the portfolio is to showcase my administrative learning experiences and growth due to the guidance and opportunities provided by Wheeling Jesuit University.

Throughout history some men have been destined to become great leaders. Be it faith, determination, or just plain hard work I am that man. Leadership begins with self-confidence, courage, and perspective. As a lead teacher and Faculty Senate President of Suncrest Middle School I have gained the expertise in forming and leading groups toward successful outcomes. Born with a strong drive to lead and achieve, I began the Technology Education program at Fairmont State University where I fine tuned my skills in: advanced technology, communications, design and problem solving, and educational theory and practice. I graduated from FSU Cum Laude in the spring of 2004. I held many offices and leadership positions while studying and tutoring other students before and after classes. Those offices include: Kappa Delta Pi education honorary member and homecoming candidate, Epsilon Pi Tau technology professions honorary member and treasurer, Vice President and Secretary of TECA Technology Education Collegiate Association.

After graduation I began my teaching career substituting and then landed full time October 2004 at Suncrest Middle School. Sharing my knowledge of technology has always been a passion and a goal in my life. In the fall of 2006, I felt a calling for a higher purpose so I was elected Faculty Senate Chair President and started back to FSU to gain my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.

After completing 18 hours of credit in 2008 I took some time off to marry the love of my life and buy a house. Now with eight years of teaching experience under my belt, I am ready to complete my degree and assume the greater leadership duties in my future. After learning FSU no longer offered my continuing Educational Leadership program, I investigated several other Universities and have chosen to pursue my Masters of Educational Leadership with Wheeling Jesuit University should you have me. My decision was made easy after talking to the wonderful, helpful and kind staff; especially Bonnie Ritz and Dan Angalich who assisted me with my questions and decisions. Above all I am a caring person who lives to help others learn and become successful in the 21st century. For West Virginia and for America I feel myself: Ronald Wayne Keener II. and Wheeling Jesuit University give rise to a great leader for the future of education.

I consider it an honor for the opportunity to hone my leadership skills at such a fine school as Wheeling Jesuit University.
Sincerely,
Ronald Wayne Keener II.
